Attire for the weekend

Due to several emails and phone calls, I thought I'd address the subject of attire.  

For the picnic on Saturday, I'd wear something casual and comfortable!  For the party on Saturday night, I think most will come "dressy casual" which means anything from jeans to slacks to dresses! Wear something fun....It's our 10 year reunion for Heaven's sake! :)  The countdown is here! Only a week and a half away!

THS REUNION

 

Dear Classmates,

 

If you haven’t heard by now, our 10 Year Class Reunion weekend is scheduled for Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, 2008, in Tupelo.  We hope everyone will be able to attend.

 

Friday evening, we will kick off the weekend with a football game, when the Tupelo Golden Wave hosts Columbus.  Tickets will be available at the gate for $6 each, and are not included in the cost of the reunion.  After the game, meet your friends for casual fun at a downtown bar or coffee shop. 

 

On Saturday, we have reserved the park at Fairpark, which is downtown on Main Street.  Children are welcome at the picnic.  Boxed lunches from CafĂ© 212 will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Each lunch will include a sandwich, chips, pickle, and canned drink.  Each child’s lunch is an additional $5.  Bring your own chairs and your child’s favorite toy for a fun time in the park.

 

Saturday night is the big event.  The reunion party will be held at Old Venice Pizza Company on McCullough Boulevard.  The party will begin at 8:00 p.m., and will last until midnight.  We will have heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Old Venice and a cash bar.  Entertainment will be provided by The Spunk Monkees. Children are not invited to the Saturday night event.

 

We plan to relive our wonder years through several photo displays.  Please send pictures from high school in with your payment and information sheet.  These photos will not be returned, so please send copies. 

 

The cost of Saturday’s events is $40 for individuals and $75 for couples.  There is an additional $5 cost per child’s lunch.  This money will be used to pay for postage, food, drinks, reservation fees, entertainment, etc.  Any remaining money will be used to purchase a class gift, which will be donated from our class to Tupelo High School.  Please make your check payable to Emily Oxford, and mail to her attention at 646 Highland Circle, Tupelo, MS  38804.  We must receive your check by September 1, 2008.  PLEASE don’t forget to send your information sheet and pictures along with your payment.
